14.5 mm Artillery Trainer

The training device is a sub caliber weapon of 14.5mm which is assembled into the open breech of the tanks main armament.

A firing solenoid, which is connected to the tanks original firing circuit, enables the device to be fired by the firing pistol grip.

For practice firing the tanks sightings systems is used. The achievement of accurate results on the one tenth to one twentieth scale targets at practice range of 50m to 125m requires the prior adjustment of the gun and the sighting telescope or by fitting an optical converter into the exit aperture of the telescope to the medium practice range. This is affected by using the adjustment mechanism of the telescope or by fitting an optical converter into the exit aperture of the telescope. In the latter case, alteration of the basic zeroing of the tank is not necessary.

60/81 mm Mortar Trainer

The training device is, in shape and weight, a representation of the original mortar bomb for the type of mortar being used (60 mm, 81mm, 120 mm or 4.2 in calibre).

It is lifted with a practice cartridge, then loaded like an operational bomb into the mortar and fired. The training device falls to the ground a few metres in front of the mortar, whilst the practice projectile flies to the target.

The training device mat be re-used an unlimited number of times.
